Cagliari Cruise Port is pleased to welcome AIDAblu, ship belonging to the German Cruise Line AIDA, which opens the 2023 cruise season in the port of Cagliari.
The ship arrived this morning with about 2.237 cruise passengers onboard, mostly German guests, who enjoyed the day on excursions by bus, on foot and by bike, finding themselves immersed in Sardinian culture, food and wine, precious handicrafts and folklore.
German guests continue to show increasing interest in the island’s capital: a total of 24 calls of AIDA, TUI and Marella are planned, Cruise Lines aimed mainly at this market. AIDAcosma, one of the newest and most important ships for AIDA Cruises, calls Cagliari 14 times.
Cagliari Cruise Port expects more than 110 calls in 2023 season, which will bring about 300.000 cruise passengers to the city of Cagliari, returning to pre-Covid levels. Costa Cruises, with its 33 calls and more than 150.000 guests, once again will be the main cruise company for the season of the Sardinian port.
